Private Residence – Breckenridge, CO
When the family cabin burned to the ground CRS was asked to design a replacement. All that remained was a detached 4 car garage with a guest quarters above it the CRS had designed a few years earlier. The owners changing heath concerns prompted two entrances, one at grade near the existing driveway and a second on grade at the upper level at the rear of the home. The new home was designed with a “catwalk” to tie the existing guest quarters highlighted by a gallery of windows to display the owner’s stained glass hobby. The main level kitchen dining and living rooms are designed to focus on the outstanding view of the Ten Mile Range.
